Since the renovation and expansion the course has hosted two of the most prestigious golf tournaments held in the state; The Channel 7 Invitational and The Wisconsin PGA Match Play. Timber Ridge Golf Club, built in 1979 as a private club, has been open to the public since 1997. Still offering country club amenities, Timber Ridge Golf Club remains one of the finest public golf courses in Wisconsin. Timber Ridge is famous for its elevated tees, tree-lined fairways, and perfectly manicured bent grass greens. Designed by renowned architect Roger Packard, Timber Ridge has numerous sets of tees with yardages ranging from 5,800 to 6,700 yards, offering golfers of every ability a challenging round. Located just 4 miles south of downtown Minocqua, Timber Ridge is the heart of public golf in the Northwoods. Set amongst the prestige forests of the Northwoods, Trout Lake Golf Club offers everything a person would expect for his or her Northwoods golfing adventure! Trout Lake Golf Club was established in 1924, making it the oldest 18 hole golf course in the Northwoods. Operating out of an 1800s logging home, Trout Lake enjoys tons of history and interesting stories. The golf course is well manicured with lots of elevated greens, making it a fair but tough test from the novice to the experienced golfers.
